Regenerative building: A paradigm shift in architecture
Climate change, resource depletion and biodiversity loss are increasingly constraining everything we do. Sustainability is becoming the key virtue for our industry. This calls for a new paradigm in architecture. Christa de Vaan from the world-leading engineering firm Arup, will discuss how these issues are transforming current and future design practices. She will share examples of Arup’s award-winning projects that illustrate how practical barriers can be overcome and provide insights into advancing the industry/how the industry can move forward towards regenerative buildings. Regenerative design begins with a mindset that reconnects humans to the broader living system of which we are part and on which we depend for survival.
