Excursion: Lorentz Casimir Lyceum
During this excursion, TU/e students will visit the Lorentz Casimir Lyceum in Eindhoven, a recently completed secondary school designed by RoosRos. The programme starts with a presentation on the project, followed by a guided tour of the building.

The design reflects RoosRos’ approach to creating healthy, future‑oriented learning environments, where architecture supports interaction, curiosity and flexibility. The building is characterised by a light and transparent layout, strong connections to the surrounding landscape and a clear, readable structure. Sustainable and circular choices—such as the use of reused donor steel and biobased materials—play a key role, both technically and conceptually.

During the excursion, students will gain insight into how educational vision, spatial quality and sustainability ambitions are translated into a coherent architectural design. Topics such as circular construction, material choices, functionality and the relationship between building and users will be discussed, offering a meaningful link between academic theory and professional architectural practice.
