Housing corporations as starter motor of heat transition

The Netherlands is facing a major challenge: we have to get rid of gas. We no longer want to shower and heat our homes with fossil gas, but must look for a sustainable alternative to stop climate change. Housing corporations own about 30% of all homes in the Netherlands; Therefore, they are one of the most important partners to make this transition feasible.

Atriensis wijken is closely involved in the heat transition as an advisor to housing corporations. As consultants, we support housing corporations in making the right choices, especially for the vulnerable tenants living in these homes. During this lunchlecture, Maria Scholten will talk about the playing field in the heat transition, the biggest challenges and what her role as an advisor to housing corporations entails. In doing so, she hopes to provide an insight into the complex processes and issues that make the heat transition so interesting and challenging.
